Levels
Arriaga Music School teaches four different levels to adapt to the level of each student. For new students it's important to know at what level they currently are.
If you are new to the violin, then of course you start at the elemental level. But If you want help finding the right course for your level, don't hesitate to contact me!
Elemental level (E1 & E2)
The students start their relation with the music and realize about the emotions that they can feel and express with music. They observe the violin for the first time, which might seem very difficult in the beginning, but little by little they will notice improvement in the sound and the intonation. Position, posture, rythm and tuning are some of the elements that they will learn while playing easy pieces, some educational games and singing!
Intermediate level (I1 & I2)
The students, after about two years improve, and progressively the difficulty of musical pieces increases, always focusing in the quality of sound, posture and intonation. They need to play with other violinists and that’s why the Arriaga Violin School introduces the Ensemble subject to increase the communication skills between its students. Scales, arpegios, studies and medium level pieces are the vehicles with which the students improve technically and musically.
Professional level (P1 & P2)
The students start to anticipate and solve some situations by themselves. The teacher tries to encourage them to think. They listen to music every day and choose the repertoire between the pieces of their level. Now they don’t follow Musical Language, but Harmony and History of the Music that help to undertand the context (style) and how the piece must be played. Exams and concerts in front of an audience are very important to develop communication skills.
